How to Create a Wedding Seating Chart QR Code
A wedding seating chart QR code opens a page where guests can find their seating information. With LaBelle Bridal, guests search their name and view their assignment from your existing seating plan.
You organize the seating in the app. Your guests use the shared search page in their phone browser, without downloading LaBelle Bridal.

How to create a wedding seating chart QR code
-
Build your guest list and seating plan.
Add your guests and assign their seating in LaBelle Bridal. Check names, plus-ones and table labels before sharing the plan. A QR code helps guests find an assignment; it does not decide the seating for you.
-
Open Seating Assignment Search.
Find Seating Assignment Search under Features for Guests. Open the guest-facing page and test a few names against your plan.
-
Link the QR code to the guest page.
Use the guest-facing seating-search link as the destination for your QR code, not a link to your private planning screen. If you use a separate QR-code generator, check its pricing and expiration rules before printing.
-
Test the full guest experience.
Scan the code on another phone, search a guest’s name and open their result. Confirm that the assignment matches your plan and that the table label matches the signs you will use at the venue.
-
Print a clear invitation to scan.
Place the code near the reception entrance or cocktail-hour exit, where guests can stop without blocking a doorway. Keep a printed list available for anyone who needs help.
What guests do after scanning
Guests open the seating-search page, enter their name and select their result to view the assignment. This lets them look up their own details instead of searching through a large display of names.
Use recognizable guest names and clear table numbers or names. If two guests share a name, test their results before the wedding so you know how to help them find the right assignment.
Wedding seating chart QR code sign wording
Keep the instructions short. Make it clear that this code finds seats, especially if you also have a separate code for guest photos.
Find your seat.
Scan the QR code, search your name and view your seating assignment. No app download needed.
Add a helpful line below: “Need a hand? Ask our welcome team.” Only use this wording if someone will be there to help.
Before you print your seating sign
- Check every assignment. Review unassigned guests, late RSVPs and plus-ones before the final test.
- Make it easy to scan. Use a dark code on a light background with clear space around it. Test the actual printed size.
- Check the connection. Test the page at the venue when possible. Do not assume every guest will have reliable mobile service.
- Keep a backup. Give your coordinator or welcome team a current, alphabetical seating list for guests without a phone or anyone who prefers personal help.
Wedding seating QR code questions
Is this a digital seating chart or a seating-plan maker?
They do different jobs. You create the seating plan in LaBelle Bridal. The guest-facing search page lets guests find the assignments from that plan. The QR code is a shortcut to that page.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests use the shared seating-search page in their phone browser. You use LaBelle Bridal to organize the plan.
Does each guest need a different QR code?
No. A code pointing to your shared seating-search page lets guests open the same page and search for their own name.
What if we change a guest’s table?
Update the assignment in your plan, then reopen the shared guest page and check the result. Before relying on an already-printed code, scan it again to confirm it still opens the correct page and shows the intended assignment.
Should we still have a printed seating chart?
You can use both. Even if the QR code is your main way to direct guests, keep a current printed list with someone who can help. It provides a backup for connection problems and guests who do not use a phone.
What should we check for privacy?
Open the shared page as a guest and check what appears in search results and assignment details. A QR code can be photographed or forwarded, so do not treat possession of the code as identity verification.
Plan the seats. Make them easy to find.
Organize your guest list and seating in LaBelle Bridal, then help guests find their assignment through the shared seating-search page.
